I was overdue for an extended vacation. Plus, my birthday was around the corner. It only made sense to book a flight from Austin to New York City, stay with my brother in Williamsburg, then fly off to Paris for the fourth time and stay with my best friends from college.
The agenda: to sleep, to eat, to avoid tourists—to enjoy the every day.
